Firstly, I wasn’t aware of the accolade it had bagged at the Oscars so when Nadi called and told me about it, I went in without expectations. Secondly, it is not be confused with The Departed, Hollywood’s (lame) remake of HK’s inferior Infernal Affairs.

Man Utd Carling Cup Champions!

I missed the match but it was a stalemate anyways. It went down to the dreaded penalties and these usually either produces heroes and/or villains. Tonight, the upcoming United goalie Ben Foster who saved a few from the crucial spotkick, is the latest man of the moment.

The above short animation goes to show that even with a heavy subject on industralisation and global warming, the output can still be an interesting and unique one just by applying a simple concept of utilising and manipulating different characters in a type family.

NatGeo Darwin Special - Goes Typography

The 30sec ID above on Evolution, A Darwin Special documentary caught my eye while channel surfing. Such seamless and importantly clever use of kinetic typography with motion graphics help to communicate the subject matter across beautifully.

Scholesy Turns Back The Clock

Man Utd 3 vs Fulham 0

The man was masterclass, ALL his passes, sublime! It seemed like he rolled back ten years. Tirelessly closing down players, tackling SUCCESSFULLY (considering how rash he is in this area), accurate passes and through-balls and even scored a cracker. Wow.
