Note: Visual graphic is stripped off. There are few reasons as to why:

  1. MS (MicroSoft) has finally ended development on IE (Internet Explorer) Mac browser - which this site no longer supports.
  2. You are either viewing on a handheld or mobile device, a screen reader, a text-browser or an archaic browser.

In any case, site content is still made accessible. However, please consider upgrading to a modern web browser. Thank you.

A Collaborative Effort

Stylised illustration, a collaboration with the gf.

If you’ve seen the home page before, you’d notice an illustration of a solider (which was a temporary one) and it has since been proudly replaced with the above stylised illustration. For the first time ever, presenting a collaboration between the girlfriend – Nadiah and I.

I had thought of a graphic or an illustration before for the site but nothing ever materialise. That was about to change, last night, we both sat down and started sketching, she did most of it actually while I directed her as I haven’t held a pencil for quite a while, heh.

The process was quick, it helps that we shared the same vision to begin with. The idea was to create some sort of an organic form to represent life but it had to be stylised to fit in with the clean-cut look of the site. Got home, scanned, vectorised and the rest was history.

Aptly titled Photosynthetic (again, courtesy of the girlfriend), colour scheme used is based on this site itself. To me, the illustration symbolises growth, strength, success with its own tribulation and above all, shows that inspiration can be drawn, even from nature.

So here’s to more creative collaboration to come in the future with the girlfriend who incidentally is the full-time editor of this site, heh. And as a tribute to the collaborative effort as well, wallpaper versions are made available for downloads. Enjoy!
