Let’s get straight to the point. (well not really…)
Pre-conceived notions and extremely high expectations, to be honest, we all have it. In my opinion really, it is a deadly and dangerous virus but one, which is not totally incurable. I agree they might have been pre-installed or integrated into our characters from early on but I believe there is always a fix or an anti-virus available for it.
Viruses usually plant themselves deep into our system roots. To completely eradicate it, you need a reliable, trusted anti-virus application. One which constantly monitors and filters new and even recurrence ones. Only when such an anti-virus is applied plus the willingness to go to the trouble scanning through each open root sources can the real problem be cured. Even, those deadly and dangerous ones.
Realising and learning from one’s mistake is only one of the first in a many long and difficult steps to come. It is how, why and what we do to correct and prevent it from happening again that matters most. On a slightly related note, realise and understand that, having strong affections for someone is really not about being afraid to lose them, it is indeed about being brave enough to let them go, that really defines it.

I do agree with this – to love is to let go. If it comes back to you then it is yours and if it goes it does not meant for your however hard you try.
Glad to know that you have found your peace. It is not easy to reach to such pedestal. Nevertheless to maintain such peace needs greater strength. May Allah shows you the way.
