Scholesy Turns Back The Clock
Friday February 20, 2009

The man was masterclass, ALL his passes, sublime! It seemed like he rolled back ten years. Tirelessly closing down players, tackling SUCCESSFULLY (considering how rash he is in this area), accurate passes and through-balls and even scored a cracker. Wow.
I’ve always admired Scholesy for his wonderful vision and reading of the game but importantly for his character and attitude on and off the pitch. Such a humble, no-nonsense, low-profile footballer who goes about doing his job right, bringing back the pay and going home to the family. He is the epitome of the anti-Becks.
Last week was Giggsy’s week, this week was his. These will definitely shut-up the veteran bashers (own fans). The old guard is really turning the heat on. As a supporter witnessing such class on display was breathtaking and inspiring, imagine the impact and effect it will do to the other younger players in the squad.
Morale and confidence is riding high. Even Arsene Wenger, resigned to his own club fate, paid tribute to United’s strength in squad depth and current hot form, even labeling the current crop of players, The Untouchables (for the moment at least). Well lets hope for consistency, that will definitely secure the trophies in the bag at the end of the season.
